If training has taught me anything over the years, it has taught me that it takes patience, consistency, and time. More often than not, I see aspiring competitors and training clients trying to get in shape that want instant results (almost over night). Simply put, changes in the body are made with time and consistency. There are some with blessed genetics that respond faster than others, but time and consistency in the gym are essential to building your ultimate physique.

It has taken me 10 years of consistently training 5-6 days per week to ultimately reach my goal of becoming a Figure Olympia contender. You will see from the descriptions of my workouts next to some of my photos and from my various workout videos throughout the website that my workouts regularly change. In an effort to keep my body healthy and challenge it differently, I try to constantly manipulate my exercise selection, sets, reps, weights, rest periods, and other variables of my training program. Depending on my specific goals for each competition, I adjust my training program to make my body change in the right direction. Since the sport of “Figure” has changed over the years as judges have changed what commands a “winning look,” I have had to change my body to meet the criteria they are seeking. Feedback from judges, peers, and other respected fitness professionals enable me to make the changes needed in my training that ultimately change my body in the right direction.
